Tips and Toes Lip Lustre Lipstick – Chrysntha Review

A very happy birthday to IMBB, I was not writing articles for months and I must say I am busy and lazy as well.  The last few months were super hectic and the days were not going as planned. I am still not in a very good situation and with semesters knocking at the door, the situation is worst, but I had to write a review on your birthday darling. IMBB holds a special place in all our hearts, thus today, I will share a review of a Tips and Toes lipstick, which is lying in the dresser for the last 4 months.  So girls, read on for more details on the lipstick.

Rs. 140 for 4 gm, they have increased the price now.

My Experience with Tips and Toes Lip Lustre Lipstick – Chrysntha:

This Tips and Toes lipstick comes in silver packaging. The packaging is travel friendly, the cap closes nicely with a click sound but the packaging is cheap and boring. The bullet of this lipstick did not break like the Orchis and I must say I am happy, but I think this Orchis is a bit creamier though both of these lipsticks glide on smoothly.

This Tips and Toes lipstick in the shade “Chrysntha” is medium brown with a brick sheen to it; I liked the color. One swipe is enough to cover pigmented lips, but in one swipe, the colour comes out sheer, one would need two swipes for that opaque coverage. With multiple swipes, this lipstick doesn’t settle in lines, which is something I love.  In this shade, I like the sheer wash of color, it instantly perks up my complexion, making me look good.

This shade can be worn during day and night time. I like to use these lipsticks with a lip brush because the texture is creamy and lip brush gives you that control. This lipstick transfers a lot and the worst part is the funny chemical smell.  I want Tips and Toes to do something about the smell.  This particular lipstick stayed 2-3 hours on me and overall, this is a decent lipstick to try.

Would I Repurchase Tips and Toes Lip Lustre Lipstick – Chrysntha?

Some of the shades are so good in this range that sometimes I repurchase one or two but considering the bad smell it has I won’t recommend.  I will come back more frequently, I have at least 10 more pending product reviews.

Estee Lauder Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick – Radiant Wine Review

Hello Lovely Ladies!

After Rati’s article on welcoming the winters with Burgundy shades, I thought I might as well give in and follow suit. So, here’s my contribution to the winters.  Let’s see, there are about 100 different variants of lipsticks out there promising moisturization, hydration, soft and supple lips and we also know that 80% of these do not live up to their claims, so does this one, let’s find out.

Product Description:

Price:

$22.50 in US / In India @ INR 1735.

Packaging:

A standard lipstick design, with a heavy golden ribbed casing.  The packaging is eye-catching and upmarket. The heft definitely adds to the luxe factor. The golden casing has the EL logo on top.

As is common with most upmarket brands, there is no colour indicator except for the sticker at the bottom of the lipstick.  Squint and figure which one it is!

My Experience with Estee Lauder Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick – Radiant Wine:

I take most claims about hydration with a pinch of salt. Invariably, they tend to be far-fetched. Very few products deliver on the claim of colour and hydration together. This is one such product.  If you look at the lip swatch, you will see that my lips look a bit dry. I was in Chandigarh, battling with the sudden change in temperature, Mumbai is still about 30 degrees while Chandigarh was way cooler. My lip balms were not being very effective in warding off the dryness.

However, the Signature Hydra Lustre lipstick made my lips seem nicely moist and the suppleness lasted a few hours post the lipstick disappearing – which is a tall claim to deliver – in my opinion.

Color:

The colour is burgundy with a hint of plum and a slight sheen to it. The sheen gives a shimmer to the lips and does not look like frost.  The colour is great for winters; however, not what I usually wear, I prefer brighter shades irrespective of the season.

Texture:

The texture is very creamy and goes on smoothly without any tug or pull. You do not need a lip balm below this. It’s fairly moisturizing.

Pigmentation:

A single swipe deposits 70% color. You do need to build it with a second swipe to get an even application, especially for my lips, which were very dry at that time.

Lasting Power:

The product lasted about 4.5-5 hours – which was fairly decent; however, falls short on the claims made by the company regarding “hours of wear;” however, the hydration provided by the lipstick fairly outlived the lipstick itself. My lips felt to be in better shape post using the lipstick, than they were before. The lip swatch is taken directly post application of the product.

To sum this up for you:

Pros of Estee Lauder Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick – Radiant Wine:

• A beautiful winter shade, though not a very unique colour.
• Good pigmentation, two swipes are sufficient to build up to the colour in the tube.
• Easy to apply from the tube.
• The lipstick applies easily – no tug or pull!
• Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.
• There was no feathering or bleeding.
• It was fairly moisturizing – lips felt supple even 3-4 hours after the lipstick had disappeared and this was in Chandigarh (where temperature has dropped).
• Luxurious and beautiful packaging.

Cons of Estee Lauder Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick – Radiant Wine:

• Estee Lauder products are not as easily available in India except select Shopper Stop counters.
• Not very long lasting, as its touted to be.

IMBB Rating:

Yes, a 4/5 product.

I can understand why the formula gets characterized as “Signature” line – it pretty much delivers above average in colour pigmentation, wear time and exceeds expectation (at least mine!!) in the hydration department. Pictures will show you how it wears on my NC 30 skin – I have turned a tad lighter because of long time spent indoors and using better sunscreen (reviews coming up shortly!)

Vega Professional Lip Filler Brush PB-05

Hello Everyone!

I have never thought of using a lip filler brush before, I always apply lipstick directly. Sometime back I purchased my first ever red lipstick; finally I dared to have one and was looking for a good lip brush to apply it with precision. And I finally picked this one as their professional line brushes are pretty good compared to the regular line.

Vega Lip Filler is an ideal accompaniment to Lip Sticks & Lip Colors. It is perfect for detailing along the lips and applying the color evenly and consistently.

Rs. 175 when I bought it, now it has increased to 225.

My Experience with Vega Professional Lip Filler brush PB-05:

I have tried the regular lip filler brush years back, it came along with a set and it was pathetic rather than applying lipstick it used to remove it. I am satisfied with this one. It comes in the regular Vega packaging. The handle of the brush is matte black and the barrel is silver colored, it looks sleek and nice with synthetic bristles. The only problem is the handle, it is too long compared to other makeup brushes, infact when I am using it in front of a mirror, the handle always comes in middle. By no means it is travel friendly, I bought it online so had no idea about this. Other than that the brush is really good, the bristles are soft yet firm, tightly packed and do not scratch at all and feel soft on lips.

I have washed it many times till date and there is absolutely no fallout and even after washing, the bristles are still in the same shape. Washing it is not much of a problem and it dries within an hour. This brush doubles up as a great concealer brush as well as the size of the bristles is just perfect. I use it to apply lipstick, and to blend and smudge the lip liner. It applies lipstick perfectly as the size of the bristles is perfect to give a precision application even in the corners of mouth, and applies evenly and does not remove the already applied lipstick from the lips. And because the bristles are slightly longer, the product does not get struck at the base causing a mess. In all this is a decent brush the only problem being the long handle.

My take on L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Caresse Lipstick in Cherry Tule:

Well I am a fan of L’Oreal lipsticks which you must have known by now. Though this range is oh not so favourite of many but I just love these balmy lipsticks like anything. I already own violet chiffon shade from this range, which was not a flattering shade on me though, but its subtle pigmentation & juicy balmy finishing on lips is tempting enough to explore other shades. Thankfully, my hubby also knows which color gears my mood and hence he gifted me this gorgeous subtle red lipstick from my favourite brand.

It seems a blend of tomato & cherry red with very subtle shimmers which hardly show up unless you stand in bright sunlight. Even I was unaware of shimmers unless I noticed one of my close up pic clicked with flash in which shimmers were well visible. The pigmentation is more kind of sheer with juicy glossy shine on lips which actually may look like a tinted lip balm or gloss. However, it differs a lot from any regular balm or gloss for its slight deeper color pay off and non sticky feel unlike gloss. It is actually not as thick, sticky & messy like any balm or gloss yet it moisturises, softens lips with gorgeous translucent finishing. I just love it for its sheer pigmentation which makes even bold & loud colors like red, plums more wearable and flattering on fair/medium or even dusky skin tone.

I never felt any red looked so soft yet appealing on my skin as this cherry tule. This is totally a replacement for my gloss for winters as it gives enough sheen to my lips apart from hydrating and taking care of dry area. It blends like butter and no matter how many times you swipe it on lips, the color will never bleed nor settle in fine lines. I am surprised by the fact that even though it hardly survives one meal, it leaves behind pretty red stain which gives a tinted balm like effect on lips for few 3-4 hours. Needless to say I don’t need touch ups even after 3-4 hours for that tint is strong enough to brighten up my face. This seems apt for people like me who wish to wear all vibrant colors without getting too loud. It will totally flatter college gals for its gorgeous yet subtle finishing. But this does not holds true for gals who wish to wear deep pigmented lipcolors, they might get disappointed for its translucency.

I feel this lipstick is neither for pigmented lips nor for the ones who love thick opaque color build up on their lips. It can be a fresh change from usual deeper heavy shades though. I am highly impressed by cherry tule and all set to lay my hands on other shades as well. I would highly recommend this cherry tule to all of you!

• A beautiful tomato cherry red shade with subtle shimmers
• Extremely buttery and hydrating texture which feels so light on lips
• It is really nourishing like a lip balm or gloss yet pigmented, non sticky, light and non bleeding like a lipstick
• It won’t settle in fine lines nor irritate or accentuate any issues so far
• It hardly survives a meal yet manages to stain lips for good 3-4 hours without any touch ups
• It can be flattering on fair/medium beauties without getting loud unlike usual reds
• It has very soft smell which is hardly noticeable for most sensitive noses even
• Travel friendly classy packaging is worth every penny

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Caresse Lipstick in Cherry Tule:

• Sheer pigmentation (However, this is a fresh change for me and I love it for the fact that it is sheer)
• Staying power could have been better

Well I feel there are times when we want a subtle make up to look natural and this lipstick is exactly what we need to achieve that fresh natural look in winters, I hope it makes sense! For me this lipstick gets full marks. I am sure you will love it for its natural flush of color. Just check it out, swatch it first and grab it wherever you find it! I am definitely getting more shades from this range this weekend.

Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Refill in 44

Hello beautiful ladies,
Since a long time I wanted to complete my lipstick palette from Inglot, but since I buy them online I wasn’t sure about the color I wanted to buy. But finally I decided to go with a nudy shade. I wanted to have all sort of colors in my palette and a simple nude was missing, so I brought shade no. 44. This seems to be a complete nude in the pan, but it actually have a pink undertone to it, it appears to be a pinky nude on the lips.

Packaging: As it’s a refill it comes in a little pan which is placed inside a plastic packaging which is meant to be a temporary store until the pan is transferred into the palette. But in case you do not have a palette, the pan can be stored inside the plastic packaging itself as it can be closed after use.

Ingredients: no ingredients are mentioned on the packaging or on the site

My take on Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Refill in 44:

When I started using lipsticks, I was in love with pinks, and so every time I brought a lip color it used to be a shade of pink. But one day I saw a post by Rati in which she showed swatches of Colorbar’s Take me as I am lip pencils and I loved Mysterious Nude from that. After buying that color, I felt in love with it and since then I use it almost daily. That particular shade made me interested in trying more natural shades and so I brought shade number 44 from Inglot. Coincidently this shade also appears to be a pink on the lips (and even more pink in the pics), but thankfully this is a different pink, a natural looking one.

As we all are aware and I have written in my previous posts, these lipsticks are extremely creamy and very easy to put on. They glide on smoothly on the lips making them feel moisturized. I assumed that the formulation of all the colors would be identical, but somehow I did not find it as creamy as some of the other shades I have. Shade number 44 is a non shimmery neutral shade that is easy to put on anytime, anywhere. It’s an ideal shade for daily usage. The only doubt I have about this shade is that it may wash out some skin tones or that it may not be suitable for all skin tones. But this problem can be solved by using a gloss over the lipstick. The staying power of the color is average and it stays for around 3 hours on me. This particular shade is not as moisturizing as others and I need to have a lip balm under this or a gloss over it in order to make myself comfortable.

Overall it’s a good shade, with good pigmentation and amazing quality. I am really happy that I found a good shade to complete my palette (although it’s not the kind of shade I wanted) and now I have a complete lip palette from Inglot. Although now I feel that I should have got a 10 color palette, as Inglot have a huge variety of beautiful colors.

Pros of Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Refill in 44:

• Easy to wear shade
• Soft and creamy texture
• Can be store even without a palette
• Non sticky
• Paraben free
• Not tested on animals

Cons of Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Refill in 44:

• Average staying power, I wish that their staying power would have been a little more
• Not as moisturizing as some other colors

Would I buy this product again?

Although it’s an excellent product, I may not buy the same color again, as I still love the shade Mysterious Nude from Colorbar more than this.

Do I recommend this?

Yes I do recommend this shade, especially because of the quality and shade which you get in an affordable price (affordable as compared to some other lipsticks)

I got an amazing lipstick this time,I had been looking for their counter here and trust me this brand does not come cheap, but what I am happy about is the fact that they have a standard product quality and packaging but phew the prices are exorbitant, no wonder we dont find much around. You can compare these to Loreal and revlon. Anyway the shade that I got today is an indulgence for a mat coral lover like me, this shade will remind you of coral reef but might be a touch darker, but an amazing shade.

The packaging is so heavy, and it is matte black and so is the lipstick,the packaging is in tune with the amount they charge, 625 is no less for a lippy, but you get a lot, and then it is matte and the shade is amazing.

The lipstick is creamy but not that crumbly creamy kinds, it is good and swipes smoothly no doubt, one coat is enough for pigmented lips as well, but you need to get an even coat or the inner lip would remain colorless, the color is an amazing reddish coral, I love it! it has pink undertones as well.

Now coming to the amazing staying power, since it is on the thicker side and it is matte, this shade actually survives meals and you might need touch up on the center and inner lip no doubt, but then it lasted me like the whole day, with two coats and meals it survived like 7 hours, so it is amazing for office.

My Favorite Lotus Herbals Lipsticks

Today’s post is so special, I have loved their lipsticks for a long time and two of them are classics and are at the top of my mind always, anyone says recommend a peach and pink lipstick I say Peach Creme and Pink Blush from the Pure Colors range, not only those, today I want to recommend to all our readers, the best of best from Lotus Herbals, take a look at my collection

Let me start with the Floral glam shade I love:

Sensuous mauve:

This is perhaps the only creamy light mauve that I can carry, it is perfect pinky mauve, not very blue, and it is creamy and smooth and hydrates lips as well, this is a must-have from Lotus Herbals.

Moist petals Sand storm:

This is a great MLBB shade, it has this brown to it so it suits warm skin tones, it is great for office, it is not milky so it will never wash you out.I bought it online from Lotus Herbals and has no idea about the shade but I am so glad I did.

Peach Creme:

This is a classic orange shade so wearable I cannot say how much I love this lipstick, it really brightens the face up and these are super soft.

This can be a nude milky shade for fair skin tones, it is perfect for day wear or with smokey eyes, it goes on lighter than my lips, a very pretty color.

This took me by surprise when I saw it in a beauty store nearby, I instantly picked it up, this is the most amazing pink you can own at this price.

Rosewood:

An amazing day wear and office wear shade, seems like it is meant to be a soft brown pink for Indian skin tone feel very light and moisturizing, again a must have if you like subtle colors.

Coming to the next lot of Pure Colors,

Crimson red:

A classic pure red, perfect bridal wear too, this will brighten the face and is great for traditional wear and parties, no shimmer at all makes it the best red around. Sweta’s review here

This was again a surprising shade, i forgot where i picked it up from but it is a deeper pink but ideal for fair to medium skin tones, like the above colors, this too does not have shimmer, it comes in a cream finish.

Pink blush:

My most favorite pink ever, it is not too pale, not to hot, just right for me, need to get a back up of this one.

From the long lasting range:

Dawn glow:

A must have orange for me, perfect for warm skin tones, it is matte and long lasting.

Cherry on top:

Cherry on top, was an instant love for me, Why I say this is because it is the right mix of fuchsia and pink which brightens my face up immediately. This is a pure matte, which I love, I line my lips with a pink, apply this and it sets to perfection, this will not stain at all and last you the whole day long.

Bubbly nude:

Again a great nude brown for Indian skin tones, you can layer it up to make it browner but one swipe is great for smokey eyes nude lips look.

Rosemary:

I honestly think such deeper pinks do a lot for our Indian skin tones. For me, they lift my dead face sometimes, help me keep the pout and also brighten complexion. This shade goes totally matte, and is extremely pigmented, and you need just one swipe for great color. The color sets after application and you could also use it as a stain.An absolute favorite.

Apricot Bliss:

I love it on me so much that i might buy a back up of this. This is mildly pigmented and on the lips it goes such a gorgeous nude, it is very flattering . This again goes matte and sets and lasts you for ages. This is a perfect color for office and an MLBB shade. Love it!

How To Look Good With Makeup When You Are Sick

You can’t stop looking good even when you fall sick, right?  You might need to go out and look your best even when temperatures are running high and cough and cold syrups are your only saving grace.  Here are some tips that would make you lovely hiding that paleness and puffy eyes.  I am not saying you should try to look when you are ill, that would be sending out a wrong message, but those who need to be presentable even at such a time, these tips will work

1.  Moisturizing Lip Balm:

When you are sick, your lips will look dry, chapped, and parched, so you have to adequately moisturize and soften them up using a good lip balm.  You should choose lip balms that provide moisturization for long hours, also would be good if its slightly tinted too.  My recommendation:  Maybelline Baby Lips priced at Rs. 150

2.  Slather on the Moisturizer:

Since all those medications are going to suck up the moisture from your skin, you need to replenish moisture on your face with a good moisturizer, opt for oil-free one if you have oily or acne-prone skin.  Dry skin should opt for a heavy moisturizer to combat that extreme dryness.   My recommendation:  Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator, priced at Rs. 2500 approximately.

3.  White/Rose Eye Pencil For Bright Effect:

Does your eye become small, smaller, smallest when you are sick, mine does :| Brighten the appearance of your eyes and make them appear fuller by using white or light eye pencils on the waterline.  White/rose eye pencils makes small eyes appear slightly bigger, so make good use of them.  My recommendation:  Bourjois Khol and Contour Eyeliner Pencil – 08 Rose Fantaisiste priced at Rs. 195

4.  Mascara to open up eyes:

Yes, mascara is your secret weapon.  When you are sick, some medicines might make you feel drowsy or sleepy.  Mascara opens up tired eyes to give an awakened appearance.  Mascara can give an instant lift to the eyes and make them appear bigger.  Curling and lengthening mascaras can create a bit of drama and take attention from your face if that’s what you want.  My recommendation: Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara priced at Rs. 800

5.  Tinted Moisturizer:

9.  Compact/Loose Powder:

10.  Add a flush of color to your face with blush:

Since sickness makes you go pale in the face, add a dash of colour in the form of blush to your face.  Blushes brighten your complexion and add luminous color to your skin.  It would also make you appear fresh and glowing.  Choose a colour that makes your face bright, not muddy.  My recommendation:  NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Natural priced at Rs. 650

Hard Candy Painted Lady Lipstick in Mannequin

Hey everyone! I haven’t written in a little over a week and I feel like it has been forever! The reason for my absence was my FINAL EXAMS! Finally, I am done and ready to enjoy my break off college. Anyways, let’s get on with the review. Today, I am reviewing a cute lipstick with a different kind of packaging which totally caught my eye. It is the Hard Candy Painted Lady Lipstick in “Mannequin”.

My Experience with Hard Candy Painted Lady Lipstick in Mannequin

This particular lipstick is a part of the “Painted Lady” lipstick line. Hard Candy brand’s products have the cutest packaging and this one is no exception. Hard Candy has the most adorable packaging. I think it looks just cute. It comes in a white tube with a pretty flowers on the cap. It has a dome shape end and there is a pink satin ribbon which adds to the cuteness. In order to open the lipstick, you have to pull on the ribbon and it will open. I saw this lipstick in the clearance isle of Wal-Mart and was immediately attracted to the cute packaging and bought it. The color that I chose was “Mannequin”. It is a beautiful nude color shade with hints of pink. It is a flesh tone color and it matches my lip color a lot. I absolutely love this color. It suits me very well and I love wearing this while sporting a dark smokey eye look. It is even perfect for day time wear as it would suit any neutral makeup look beautifully.

The color glides on super smooth and is very creamy. I think it is a bit too creamy which is why the shade does not last me as long. It does not last me more than an hour. I really like the texture though, it feels smooth and it does not dry up my lips, keeps them fully moisturized. One thing that bothers me a lot about this product is the smell, it is very unpleasant. It smells something like cardboard boxes which annoys me a lot and it seems to linger on my lips after application after quite some time does it seem to go away. Another thing that I noticed was that this particular product is very limited in stores. I showed my lipsticks to my friend and she absolutely loved this lipstick and went to go buy it herself. Since HardCandy is sold in Wal-Marts and online, she decided to go find it in Wal-Mart. Unfortunately she was not able to find it anywhere near her area and had to come to the Wal-Mart closer to my house in order to find it. That truly is a downside because I am sure many people are wanting to try this and not everyone wants to purchase this product online. Hard Candy used to be sold in Sephora but all of a sudden it got discontinued and then later on appeared in Wal-Mart. I personally think they sell more in Wal-Mart than they did in the Sephora store. Overall, this is a decent lipstick because the colors are so pretty but as far as the staying power and cost go, it is hard to say it is worth it.

Yes I would recommend for those who do not mind applying lipstick multiple times. I personally do not mind and I am OK with applying it a few extra times.

Probably not but I would like to try other shades. In fact, I think I will go buy another shade soon.

Welcome Winters! Bangalore generally remains the same (weather-wise) throughout the year – the mornings are getting a little chilly these days though.  Anyway, I am here to review one of the Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks that I own. It is a shade called “Hot Shimmer.” Detailed review follows:

My Take on Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Hot Shimmer:

I am not a fan of shimmer lipsticks personally. Being dusky skinned, I have to choose lipstick shades very carefully so that it does not wash me out or look over the top. This one was a gift from my mother-in-law. I appreciate her choice in a way as she got me something which I didn’t own – a shimmer frost lipstick.

Packaging:  This one comes in a trademark black plastic packaging like other Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks with a gold band in the centre having Revlon engraved on it.  It has a transparent see-through cap which helps identify the lipstick when in a hurry.

Color:  It is an orange-red lipstick with loads of shimmer. Like most of the other shimmer lipsticks, this one is quite sheer too, but the color actually shows up on my partially pigmented lips in one swipe itself.  It doesn’t settle into fine lines on the lips. I feel, this shade would suit warmer skin tones more. This would go well with Indian attires, in my opinion.

Texture:  As the lipstick has lots of shimmer, it doesn’t give that creamy feel to the lips. However, nothing that irritates you either. Also, it is moisturizing enough for me to skip using the lip balm underneath.

Finish:  As mentioned on the lipstick cap, it is a “frost” finish shimmer lipstick.

Staying Power:  Hot Shimmer actually stays on for only 2-3 hours without a meal. After which, it starts fading out and leaves behind those shimmers which actually looks a little weird.

Overall, this is one lipstick with good color pay-off and frosted shimmers. It would look good for an evening function/party.  It is definitely not meant for office wear.

Pros of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Hot Shimmer:

• Really good pigmentation, one swipe is enough to cover full lips.
• Color shows well on pigmented lips as well.
• In spite of being a frosted lipstick, it is actually very moisturizing.
• No weird smell that some lipsticks have.
• Comes with a see-through cap.

Cons of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Hot Shimmer:

• Though it is a nice party lipstick color, I find it a little tricky to use, mainly because of the shimmer in it.
• Average staying power.

Would I Repurchase Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Hot Shimmer?

No, I don’t think I would be able to use even this one completely. I have used it hardly twice ever since I got it as a gift.  If you are looking for an orange-red lipstick and if you are okay with lots of shimmer in it, you can try this out.

Described as an amped-up fuchsia, has amplified finish, its a coral pink lipstick with no shimmer.  It brightens up face with creamy finish and texture.  Stays on for 8 hours.  The lipstick stays for a bright pinkish stain all day long.  Suitable for both day and night time use.  Will suit all skin tones.

2.  MAC Mehr Lipstick:

Its described as a dirty blue pink matte finish lipstick.  Its a cool-toned lipstick.  It will work for most Indian skin tones, its an everyday color.  It can be worn with heavy eye makeup.  Stays on the lips for 5 hours, adds a bit of freshness to the face.  Can be a MLBB shade for many.

3.  MAC Cosmo Lipstick:

It is described as an amplified creme finish lipstick, tea rose pink colour.  Its a warm pink shade, creamy lipstick, stays on the lips for 3 to 4 hours, semi matte lipstick, a neutral every day colour.

4.  MAC Crosswires Lipstick:

A cremesheen finish lipstick, a clean pinky orange colour, its a coral pink shade, does not have shimmer.  A color suitable for both summers and winters, and brightens up face, has a soft creamy finish, staying power is 3 to 3-1/2 hours, will suit most Indian skin tones, a very pigmented shade.

5.  MAC Mocha Lipstick:

A peachy yellow brown colour, earthy toned, satin finish lipstick.  Matte lipstick, stays for 4 hours and more.  An MLBB shade for most Indian skin tones.

These days festive season is on. I am at home for holidays away from the fast life of a metro and I am enjoying Indian wedding every other day. My parents had their 25th wedding anniversary on 11th and we celebrated in a family style. Today I am going to review one lipstick which I wore yesterday from my mum’s collection – Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Color- Pink Desire (H217). It is very much similar to the earlier shade which I had reviewed- Pinkish Delight

My experience with Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Color- Pink Desire (H217)

The lip color comes in a pretty black packaging and has an outer cardboard cover which has “Coloressence” written in silver and has purple and red design in sides. The lipstick has black outer plastic. The bad thing about his packaging is that you are not able to see through the color and you have to literally open the lipstick or see in bottom where there is sticker of lip color and code number. This lip color is on the creamy side unless other Coloressence lipsticks but I would also like to mention that it is not as creamy as other moisturizing lipsticks. It has ingredients like almond oil and vitamin oil and hence it should me much creamier due to the ingredients mentioned but it is not the case. I like lipsticks which glide on smoothly on lips. It has a typical lipstick smell which is ok and not at all strong. It stays for a good 5-6 hours but transfers very easily. The color is pretty pink and it is a pink with blue undertone. It matches my nail paint too It brightens up the face but at the same side I would I also like to mention that dusky beauties should use this color with care as multiple coats of this color might not suit them. My mum too totally loved the shade. The shade brightened up my face. The color is very much pigmented and the name truly represents the shade. But yeah it takes a little bit of effort to remove the lipstick.

• Affordable, good quantity for the said price
• Rich color, very well pigmented
• Stays for a good amount of time and me and my mum are very well satisfied with the staying power
• Very nice pink shade with blue undertones and it brightens up your face
• Ingredients like almond oil, vitamin oil seems to be good.

Negatives for Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Color- Pink Desire (H217):

• Transfers easily
• A little bit drying but it works well if you use a lip balm underneath
• Removing this lipstick takes effort

Will I recommend or repurchase Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Color- Pink Desire (H217)?

Yes, I am totally loving the shade and I will be repurchasing it as my mum also loves the shade. It is totally a value for money and it is very good for makeup beginners who might want to try  budget makeup.

Overall Verdict:

It is a worth buy but people with dry and chapped lips might face problem with this brand as it is a bit drying.
